The blaxploitation film Black Dynamite (rated R) looks like it's going to be a hilarious flick judging by the trailer.
The movie is about an ex-CIA agent named Black Dynamite (Michael Jai White) who is on a mission to avenge his brother's death as he battles drug dealers and rids the ghetto of tainted malt liquor. Black Dynamite also stars Tommy Lee Davidson, Arsenio Hall, Kym Whitley and Brian McKnight as Sweetmeat. (<-- I kid you not!)
Along with the movie there will be two accompanying movie soundtracks via Wax Poetics Records.
The Black Dynamite Motion Picture and Original Motion Picture Score will be available via digital stores on Oct. 13 and music retailers on Oct. 20.
The score is composed by Adrian Younge, a self-taught musician who played every instrument on the score.
Take a listen:
"Shot Me in the Heart" - from the Black Dynamite Motion Picture Score.
And studio maverick 9th Wonder produces Buckshot and Sean Price's banging track "The Feeling" for the Black Dynamite Soundtrack.
